Applications for places at the Academy will be made in accordance with Westminster Council's co-ordinated admission arrangements. Information on the academy will be included in their starting school brochure, which you can pick up from the council offices. Copies will also be available from most nurseries and early years centres. The Academy will use the timetable specified by Westminster Council each year and published annually to parents for admissions of pupils to primary schools.

ARK Atwood Primary Academy will be a non-selective school for local children. If the academy is oversubscribed, priority will be given to students with statements of special educational needs, where the academy is named on the statement. The remaining places will then be offered in the order of priority below.
This will be subject to confirmation of the school's permanent buildings and location.
The academy will keep a waiting list which is used to fill casual vacancies occurring if students leave during the year, or withdraw from a place that has been offered.
Parents/carers who are not offered a place for their child will be entitled to appeal to an independent committee under the provisions of the:
Unsuccessful applicants have a right of appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel. Further details will be included in the notification letter from the school but information below sets out the timetable for hearing appeals.
Reception Admissions 2013 Appeals – ARK Atwood Primary Academy
Any parental appeals must be received in writing by the Westminster School Admissions Team at Westminster City Hall by 15th June 2013. Appeals are expected to be heard in late June or early July 2013. Appellents will receive at least 10 days’ notice of the time and date of their hearing.
Any appeals received after the deadline will be heard within 30 school days of receipt
Parents wishing to submit additional evidence must ensure that the additional documentation is received the clerk to the independent appeal panel to do so at least five school days before the hearing.
Decision letters about the outcome of appeals will be sent within five school days of the hearing wherever possible.
